Somerset County residents who are interested in attending a self-care Zoom webinar are invited to join “Renew, Recharge, Reset.” Sponsored by the Somerset County Commission on the Status of Women, this informative webinar will occur on July 9th, from 6:30 to 7 p.m. Experts speakers will provide residents with tools to help rebuild their lives and achieve emotional well-being, physical health and revitalization during and after the pandemic. Topics to Be Discussed
“Renewing One’s Mental and Emotional Health,” will be presented by Maxine Bradshaw, Ph.D., MBA; Med., who is recognized as a top leader for education in the field of mental health. Dr. Bradshaw will provide the audience with guidance for renewing their emotional well-being. Participants will learn how to cope with the quarantine, the recent protests around the nation, and being inundated with violent images in the media. This portion of the seminar will help participants learn how to help prevent damage to their mental health.

“Recharge Through Fitness and Nutrition,” given by Physical Therapy Center of Excellence staff member and Doctor of Physical Therapy Jill Lipari. Dr. Lipari will highlight ways to recharge, get fit and eat nutritiously at home while gyms are closed and one’s routine has been altered.

Reset Your Life and Career with Life Coach and Vice-Chair of the Commission Shelly L. Bell, M.A., FDC. Ms. Bell will provide tools to help participants learn how to navigate and prepare for the future after experiencing loss, such as losing a job, a loved one, or an opportunity.

The Somerset County Commission on the Status of Women advocates for women by providing an effective forum to identify and address women’s issues and concerns. Their goal is to develop a greater public awareness about women’s issues by sponsoring informational exchanges, which can enhance the quality of life for those who reside in Somerset County.
