Basking Ridge Man Arrested For DWI In Berkeley Heights
A woman described as black wearing a red shirt and jeans also reportedly made a purchase with a counterfeit $100 bill at the CVS in town.

BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ —
On April 26: Patrolman Brian Nigro arrested Raheim Adams, 20, of Newark for possession of marijuana and an active warrant for $250 out of the City of Orange, during the course of a motor vehicle stop. Adams was charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams, failure to inspect his vehicle and possession of controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle. He was released after satisfying the conditions of the warrant.
On April 27 at 3:55 a.m.: Sgt. Michael Gallaro arrested the following individuals during the course of a motor vehicle stop: Dawood Saleh, 24, of New York, New York was arrested for possession of marijuana under 50 grams, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, operating an unregistered vehicle and failure to wear a seatbelt. Yelissa Acevedo, 22, of Bronx, New York, was arrested for possession of marijuana under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia. Genesi Sanchez, 23, of Mount Vernon, New York, was arrested for possession of marijuana under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia. All three defendants were released after processing pending a mandatory court appearance in the Berkeley Heights Municipal Court.

On April 28: Patrolman Daniel Cuocci and Patrolman John Falivene responded to CVS at 412A Springfield Ave to speak with the manager regarding a fraud that occurred on April 27 at 8:50 a.m. The manager reports a black female wearing a red shirt and jeans made a purchase with a counterfeit $100 bill and left the store operating a dark colored, four-door sedan. This incident is currently under investigation by the Detective Bureau. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Detective Bureau at 908-464-1111.
On April 29 at 12:52 a.m.: Patrolman Thomas Marshall arrested Nakeiya Johnson, 34, of Newark for possession of marijuana and a $350 warrant out of the City of Passaic during the course of a motor vehicle stop. Johnson was charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams and failure to wear seatbelt. She was later released after satisfying the warrant.

On May 1 at 11 a.m.: Patrolman Daniel Schafer arrested Jason Baker, 28, of Newark for possession of marijuana during the course of a motor vehicle stop. Baker was charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams, possession of drug paraphernalia, tinted windows, and maintenance of lamps. Baker was released pending a mandatory court appearance in the Berkeley Heights Municipal Court.
On May 1 at 4:17 p.m.: Patrol responded to Runnell’s Hospital to take a report for the theft of a watch from an employee’s jacket that was valued at $1,400. This matter is currently under investigation by the Detective Bureau.
On May 2 at 1:40 p.m.: Patrolman Donald Maxwell arrested Laquan McClinton, 24, of Elizabeth for a No-Bail warrant out of Somerset County Sheriff’s Department, a $500 warrant out of Elizabeth, and a $350 warrant out of Newark during the course of a motor vehicle stop. McClinton was additionally charged with driving while suspended and careless driving. McClinton was transferred to the custody of the Somerset County Sheriff’s Department on their warrant.
