Basking Ridge Nanny Charged With Abusing 9-Month-Old: Prosecutor
Breaking: The nanny was charged after the baby was hospitalized with a fractured right femur and left ankle and a distal tibia.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — A nanny caring for a Basking Ridge 9-month-old infant was arrested after the baby was hospitalized with a fractured right femur, a distal tibia and a fractured left ankle.
The infant was admitted to Morristown Medical Center on Nov. 2, Somerset County Prosecutor Michael Robertson said.
Laura M. Gonzalez, 38, of East 22nd Street, Paterson was employed as the child’s nanny, according to Robertson.

Gonzalez was charged with second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, and fourth-degree child abuse.
Gonzalez was lodged in the Somerset County Jail pending a detention hearing.
