$1.5M In Road Improvements, New Vehicles To Be Voted On In Basking Ridge

The Bernards Township Committee will meet on Tuesday to vote on the appropriation of $1.5 million.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — The Bernards Township will be voting on whether to spend $1.5 million for road improvements and new vehicles at its upcoming meeting.

The ordinance appropriating $1.5 million for various capital improvements will be voted on Tuesday at 8 p.m.

The money will be broken down to cover two main aspects:

  • $775,000 for engineering projects including resurfacing Cross Road and Alward Avenue, Town Hall drainage improvements, and Newell Drive storm sewer improvements.
  • $725,000 for the purchase of motor vehicle replacements including DPW Equipment Vehicles, Passenger Vehicles and Trailers.

The meeting will be held at the Municipal Building, 1 Collyer Lane, Basking Ridge.
