Basking Ridge Students Design Logo For Upcoming 5K Race

Basking Ridge, NJ -- Students from St. James School in Basking Ridge put their artistic skills to the test when they competed to design the Men of Charity's next 5K race T-shirt.

Lilah Marchese won the 2016 Men of Charity Race Shirt Design Contest and her 5K logo will be featured on the race shirt for the Men of Charity 5K for Kindness on Thursday May 12.

In addition to her winning the first place prize of $50.

Second place went to Isabella Maher, and third place was a tie between Molly McEntee and Adrian Kurylko. All three finalist are students at St. James School in Basking Ridge.

This is the fifth year the St. James Men of Charity have hosted the "5K for Kindness" race/walk. This year it will be held on hursday, May 12 at 5:30 p.m.

Formed in 2008, the Men of Charity help locals around the community. Proceeds from the race will benefit families in need in and around the parish community.

The event will be a festive family friendly event with food, beverages, face painting for the kids and live music by Michael Andrew. For our serious runners, the course is USATF Certified/Sanctioned.
