Basking Ridge: Submissions Sought For Virtual Senior Art Show

Somerset County's Cultural & Heritage Commission is sponsoring its annual Somerset County Senior Art Show virtually.

Somerset County’s Cultural & Heritage Commission is sponsoring its annual Somerset County Senior Art Show virtually. Due to the pandemic, and for the safety of participants and county staff – artwork for the county’s 2020 Senior Art Show will be displayed on the county’s website from Sept. 21 to Oct. 30.

Eligibility and Submission Requirements
To be eligible, an artist must be a resident of Somerset County and at least 60-years of age. Only photos of artwork will be accepted in the following categories: watercolors, oils, acrylics, digital/computer art, photography, pastels, drawings, mixed media, sculpture and printmaking.

No more than one photo of artwork per artist will be accepted. Artwork that was created more than three years ago or has previously been submitted to the Somerset County Senior Art Show will not be accepted. The deadline to register is Wednesday, Sept. 9.

First place winners of the Somerset County Art Show are eligible to compete in the New Jersey State Senior Art show, which will have a virtual exhibit this year beginning Oct. 23 until the end of Nov. 2020.
