Basking Ridge's Tobin Heath To Compete In Tokyo Olympics

Tobin Heath, Women's World Cup soccer champ​, Olympic gold medalist and Ridge High School graduate will be competing in the Toyko Olympics.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Tobin Heath, Women's World Cup soccer champ, two-time Olympic gold medalist and Ridge High School graduate will be competing in the Toyko Olympics.

Heath grew up in Bernards Township. and graduated from Ridge High School in 2006. This will be her fourth Olympics; she was on the 2008 and 2016 U.S. women's soccer team that won gold.

She goes by the nickname "Tobs." Heath is the daughter of Jeffrey and Cindy Heath and has three siblings, Jeffrey, Katherine and Perry, according to her Team USA bio.

Heath is among 26 New Jersey atheletes to be competing in the Toyko Olympics. Carli Lloyd of Delran is the only other Garden State native competing in soccer with Heath. To see all of the New Jersey athletes competing click here.
