Bernards Township Committee Showdown Set For November

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — The polls are closed and the 2024 unofficial Primary Election votes for Bernards Township Committee are being tallied unofficially.

The Somerset County clerk has not certified the totals yet. To make the tally official, the final certification of the results must be done.

There were only two Republicans and two Democrats running in the uncontested primary election. Incumbent Republicans Jennifer Asay and Andrew McNally will now face off against Democrats Adam Subervi and Elizabeth Graner in November.

Here are the real-time unofficial results for the Bernards Township Committee, according to Somerset County (Keep checking back throughout the night as Patch updates the results as they come in):

Bernards Township Committee

• Andrew McNally - Republican* - 1,564
• Jennifer Asay - Republican* - 1,564
• Elizabeth Graner - Democrat - 1,314
• Adam Subervi - Democrat - 1,262

Somerset County Board of County Commissioners:

• Shanel Robinson - Democrat* - 15,791
• Sara Sooy - Democrat* - 14,606
• Nick Cuozzo - Republican - 13,389
• Rakesh "Rocky" Ganta - Republican - 13,049

The general election is scheduled for Nov. 5, and whoever is elected will begin their term in January 2025.
