Bernards Twp. Library Reopens: Face Masks, Appointments Required
Visitors to the Bernards Township Library should expect face masks, social distancing, and booking appointments to browse.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — The Bernards Township Library is now open for express service and visitors should expect face masks, social distancing and booking appointments to browse.
"Things will look a little different, but our commitment to the community is unchanged. Safety is our top priority,we appreciate your patience and understanding," the library stated.

The reopening of the library, at 32 South Maple Ave. in Basking Ridge, follows Governor Phil Murphy's announcement on June 24 that libraries may reopen to the public with a limited capacity.
Here's what to expect:

- Browsing will be by 45 minute appointments only and available every hour, on the hour.
- Computer use is available by special appointment only, for a maximum of 45 minutes.
- Visits are limited to 1 per day.
- To print something out fill out the printing form and pick it up curbside.
- The library will be open at 25 percent capacity.
- Teen Space is closed.
- Face masks are required for all patrons over the age of 2.
- Curbside pick-up service continues during operating hours.
- Meeting and program rooms are closed.
- Storytimes and all programming events remain virtual.
- Social distancing should be maintained. Please stand at least six feet apart from staff and other patrons.
- Hand sanitizer will be available at the entrance and must be used upon entering.
- Working and studying are not permitted inside the building.
- Seating is not available.
- Lingering is discouraged, keep visits as short as reasonably possible.
Patrons are asked to stay home if they or a family member: feels unwell, has a fever or has or thinks they may been in contact with someone who is sick.
