Bernards Twp. Police Lt. Retires After 25 Years

After 25 years of service, Bernards Township bid farewell to Lieutenant Stephen Elder​ as he retired from the police force.

Bernards Township, NJ - After 25 years of service, Bernards Township bid farewell to Lieutenant Stephen Elder as he retired from the police force.

Elder retired on July 12, he was also a member of the Somerset County SWAT team.

Retired Southaven, Mississippi Police Chief William "Tom" Long surprised Elder with a visit. Captain Brian Hoey of the Somerset County Prosecutors Office also played the bagpipes that morning.
