Bonnie Diehl Promoted to New Position at College

Basking Ridge resident previously received "outstanding teaching award."

The SANS Technology Institute (STI) recently announced the appointment of Basking Ridge resident, Bonnie Diehl, Ph.D., as the new Provost, Chief Academic Officer for the college.  

Diehl received her first "outstanding teaching award" in 1983. For more than 30 years, she has been committed to increasing teaching efficacy through assessing learning outcomes. Prior to joining SANS she served as Associate Provost of Academic Administration at Farleigh Dickinson University in Madison.

In addition, she has served as the Director of Academic Affairs for University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey as well as associate chair, biotechnology, for John Hopkins University. "Dr. Diehl is well known and highly regarded as an accomplished educator," the announcement said.

In her new role, Diehl will be leading SANS’ accreditation efforts with the Middle State Commission on Higher Education, as well as further developing the college.

SANS, with multiple locations, specializes in information security training, according to the website.

Diehl previously said she has a a Ph.D. in biology, an M.S. in biochemistry, and a B.S. in psychology.
