We are kicking off National Library Week with a wonderful LIVE musical event. Though seemingly very different at first glance, jazz and folk are the same in one very important way: they are passed down from generation to generation through oral tradition. This crossover program explores the connection between these two seemingly different genres. Enjoy jazz renditions of folk songs and spirituals and hear about jazz's long history of borrowing folk repertoire and how oral traditions are passed on in music.

Presenters: The Patrick Kerssen Trio of the Lehigh Valley area of Pennsylvania delivers an engaging and entertaining experience for music lovers of all kinds.

This event is sponsored by The Friends of BTL.
