Tractor-Trailer Blows Tire Off I-78, All Lanes Reopened In Somerset County
Drivers on the interstate had a 35- to 40-minute delay following after a truck blew a tire around 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

BEDMINSTER, NJ — A tractor-trailer that blew a tire and drove off Interstate-78 in Somerset County caused one lane to close and major delays on Tuesday afternoon. All lanes have since reopened.
The truck went off the highway on the westbound side on the Readington Township, Hunterdon County and Bedminster Township, Somerset County border at 10:54 a.m., said New Jersey State Trooper Charles Marchan.
The truck was near Exit 26 - County Route 665/Rattlesnake Bridge Road in Bedminster Township, according to the state's traffic reporting system 511 as of around 1:30 p.m.

As a result, one right lane of three lanes is closed causing a 35- to 40-minute delay on the westbound side from east of Exit 29 - I-287/US 202/US 206 (Bedminster Township) to West of Exit 26 - CR 665/Rattlesnake Bridge Road (Readington Township).
All lanes have since reopened.
