Changing Of The Guard: Longtime Basking Ridge Fire Chief Retires
Jack McGrath served for 45 years in fire service and more than 14 years in in a variety of leadership roles at Basking Ridge Fire Company.
BASKING RIDGE, NJ — There is a new fire chief in town as longtime Basking Ridge Fire Company Chief Jack McGrath has retired.
McGrath served for 45 years in fire service and more than 14 years in in a variety of leadership roles at Basking Ridge Fire Company. Most recently he served as chief of the department from 2017 to 2018. He is now moving south to enjoy his retirement.

"Congratulation to all. Chief McGrath it’s been a pleasure working with you and wish you the best down south," stated Tommy Lachowski.
Peter Von Der Linde will now serve as fire chief for 2019 and Theodore Renz will serve at deputy chief.
