This event includes gingerbread house workshops, Santa visits, holiday shopping, musical performances and museum tours.

BEDMINSTER, NJ — This is the final weekend for Colonial Christmas at the Jacobus Vanderveer House and Museum.

Here is a list of the Colonial Christmas schedule of events:

Friday, Nov. 30, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

  • Cocktail Reception – holiday libations served by Colonial barkeeps; sumptuous seafood and hors d’oeuvres by Metropolitan Seafood; boutique shopping with Classic Home and Garden, India Hicks, Stanton Sweets, MACJAC, LLC, Virginia Peacock, Take A Bough, and Lady Ellen's Fine Ware; and 18th century musical entertainment by The Practitioners of Musick

Saturday, Dec. 1, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  • Tours of the museum, festively decorated for the holidays by Gail Whiting of Design Consultants, Bedminster; Flowers on the Ridge, Basking Ridge; and Camelot Construction
  • Colonial Re-Enactors and Crafters
  • Food Trucks
  • John Lambs Artillery Company Demonstrations
  • Holiday Shopping with Classic Home & Garden, India Hicks, Stanton Sweets, MACJAC, LLC, Flower Basket Lady Bug, Virginia Peacock, and Lady Ellen’s Fine Ware

  • The Enslows perform Colonial American Christmas Music

11:30 a.m.

  • Gingerbread house workshop for children accompanied by an adult, courtesy Ms. Gail’s Kids Cooking. Cost of the program is $43 per kit, limited to one child & one adult per kit, and includes admission to the house tour for one adult. Walk-in registration $50 per kit. (outside in tent)

  • Santa Visit

Sunday, Dec. 2, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
