Results Of Bernards Primary 2023, Committee Race Contested In Fall

The Bernards Township Committee race was uncontested for the primary with two Republicans and two Democrats running.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — The polls are closed and the 2023 unofficial Primary Election votes for Bernards Township Committee are being tallied unofficially.

The Somerset County clerk has not certified the totals yet. To make the tally official, the final certification of the results must be done on June 19.

There were only two Republicans and two Democrats running in the uncontested primary election.

All four candidates will now run for the two, three-year township committee seats in the general election on Tuesday, Nov. 7. The Bernards Township Committee is currently made up entirely of Republicans.

  • Paul Drake - Democrat* - 11,008
  • Douglas Singleterry - Democrat* - 10,959
  • Donald Lemma - Republican - 8,532
  • Daniel Gallic - Republican - 8,446
