Results Of Bernards Primary 2023, Committee Race Contested In Fall

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — The polls are closed and the 2023 unofficial Primary Election votes for Bernards Township Committee are being tallied unofficially.

The Somerset County clerk has not certified the totals yet. To make the tally official, the final certification of the results must be done on June 19.

There were only two Republicans and two Democrats running in the uncontested primary election.

Here are the real-time unofficial results for the Bernards Township Committee (Keep checking back throughout the night as Patch updates the results as they come in):

• Gary Baumann - Republican* - 998
• Tyler Seville - Republican - 979
• Lily Wong - Democrat - 963
• Ana Duarte McCarthy - Democrat - 977

All four candidates will now run for the two, three-year township committee seats in the general election on Tuesday, Nov. 7. The Bernards Township Committee is currently made up entirely of Republicans.

• Douglas Singleterry - Democrat* - 10,959
• Donald Lemma - Republican - 8,532
