Motorcyclist Ejected, Killed In I-287 Crash In Somerset County

The motorcyclist from Staten Island hit the back of two vehicles and overturned during the crash on Saturday, said NJSP.

FAR HILLS, NJ — A Staten Island man was killed on Saturday after he was ejected from his motorcycle following a crash into the back of two vehicles on Interstate 287 in Far Hills, said New Jersey State Police(NJSP) Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron.

On June 15 at 11:23 a.m., NJSP troopers were called to a crash on I-287 North at milepost 24.8 in Far Hills Borough.

Based on a preliminary investigation, a Kawasaki motorcycle, an Infiniti passenger vehicle and Hyundai passenger vehicle were driving northbound on I-287.

In the area of milepost 24.8, the Kawasaki hit the rear of the Hyundai, overturned, and hit the rear of the Infiniti, said Lebron.

During the crash, the driver of the Kawasaki was ejected, said Lebron.

The driver of the Kawasaki, Durmish Golesh, 27, from Staten Island, NY, sustained fatal injuries.

There were no other injuries reported. The crash remains under investigation, and there is no additional information available at this time.
