New Toddler Playground Equipment Purchased For Harry Dunham Park

The Bernards Township Committee unanimously voted to approve the purchase of roughly $61,000 at Tuesday night's meeting.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — The Bernards Township Committee unanimously voted to approve the purchase of roughly $61,000 for new toddler-appropiate playground equipment at Harry Dunham Park following residents' complaints.

The committee approved the purchase not to exceed $61,410.12 from MRC in Spring Lake at the Tuesday, July 25 meeting.

The resolution includes the purchase of a Caterpillar Crawl Tube, Custom PrimeTime 2-5 Unit, Welcome Sign (2-5), Welcome Sign (5-12), and Installation by a Certified GameTime Installer.

Resident Tyler Seville thanked the Committee for the purchase.

"My family and I look forward to using that equipment very soon," said Seville at the meeting.

The Township previously received complaints from residents after all of the equipment at the park off Liberty Corner Road was replaced except for the swings for a cost of around $180,000 in October 2022. Read More: $180K Playground Replacement At Dunham Park To Begin Monday

The new playground features separate units for ages 2 - 5 and ages 5-12, rock wall climbers, inclusive play pieces, and a 19-foot tall net climbing structure.
