Join us on December 5th, 2014 @ All Saint’s Episcopal Church in Millington, NJ.@ 7pm for the staged reading of the play, “The Other Wise Man”. Based on the short story by Henry Van Dyke, and in a newly adapted staged version by William J. Ward, “The Other Wise Man” is the story of Artaban, the fourth Magi. Having missed the caravan to Bethlehem, Artaban searches the desert for years on a quest to find his King.
Tickets are $10 /$5 for kids age 12 and under. All tickets at the door.
This is an Advent and Christmas tale in which Artaban, the fourth Wise Man, goes in search of the Christ Child, but at every turn encounters people in great need. It’s a story for adults that is also good for kids. Written by Henry Van Dyke in the 1920s, it has been adapted for the stage by William J. Ward, specifically for All Saints’. This costumed reading by professional actors will take place in the Church. Proceeds will benefit North Porch, which provides emergency supplies to babies and toddlers. We’ll also be collecting jars of baby food ,fruits and veggies at the door.
