BASKING RIDGE, NJ — The $180,000 replacement of Harry Dunham Park playground is delayed causing the reopening to be pushed by two weeks.

The playground had initially been set to be closed from Aug. 29 through Sept. 16. However, "due to unanticipated equipment delivery delays, the playground will be closed through Sept. 30," said the township's Parks and Recreation Department.

"We promise it will be worth the wait," said the department.

The total cost was about $180,000, which was approved as part of the Township’s capital budget, said Gander.
