Basking Ridge Swim Team Remains Undefeated For 7th Consecutive Season

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Pleasant Valley Pool remains undefeated for its seventh consecutive season in the Morris County Summer Swim League.

The Basking Ridge swimming team had strong showings at both Meet of Champions meets last weekend.

The 12 Under Meet took place at Bee Meadow Pool, Whippany on Saturday, July 30 where 44 athletes from PVP qualified for the 12 Under Meet of Champions meet. 24 saw their times improve and nine made Top 3 finishes.

• Aava Naeini: 2nd Place, Event 7 Girls 8U 25m Freestyle | 1st Place, Event 25 Girls 8U 25m Butterfly
• Juliet Read: 1st Place, Event 13 Girls 8U 25m Breaststroke | 2nd Place, Event 25 Girls 8U 25m Butterfly
• Will Hough: 3rd Place, Event 14 Boys 8U 25m Breaststroke
• Logan Read: 1st Place, Event 16 Boys 9-10 25m Breaststroke | 2nd Place, Event 28 Boys 9-10 25m Butterfly
• Olivia Cuiffo: 3rd Place, Event 17 Girls 11-12 50m Breaststroke
• Caspian Chorazykiewicz: 1st Place, Event 22 Boys 9-10 25m Backstroke
• 1st Place, PVP's Event 31 Girls 8U 100m Freestyle Relay (1:29.09, Juliet Read (1), Lucy Klinger (2), Rebecca Hough (3), Aava Naeini (4))

The 13 Under Meet of Champions meet took place on Sunday, July 31 at Bernardsville Pool. 21 PVP athletes qualified for the meet and 11 made Top 3 finishes in their races.

Two PVP team records were broken. The first in the Girls 13 Over 200m Medley Relay by Victoria Doucette, Eszter Kiss, Maggie Luo and Giulia Beverini and the second in the Boys 13 Over 200 Medley Relay by Ian D’Silva, Dean Capizzi, Michael Ferraioli and Bastian Chorazykiewicz.

• Dean Capizzi: 2nd Place, Event 6 Men's 15O 100m IM
• Youssef Elnawawi: 2nd Place, Event 8 Boys 13-14 50m Freestyle
• Eszter Kiss: 2nd Place, Event 13 Women's 15O 50m Breaststroke | 3rd Place, Event 21 Women's 15O 50m Butterfly
• Maggie Luo: 2nd Place, Event 15 Girls 13-14 50m Backstroke | 1st place, Event 19 Girls 13-14 50m Butterfly

• Michael Ferraioli: 1st Place, Event 22 Men's 15O 50m Butterfly
