Ridge Youth Softball Claims Long Valley Atalese Tournament Title
The Ridge Youth Softball 10U team topped the undefeated Hunterdon Pride 4-2 in the championship game on Sunday.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — The Ridge Youth Softball 10U team claimed the Long Valley Atalese Tournament title on Sunday, May 21, topping the undefeated Hunterdon Pride 4-2 in the championship game.
The Ridge team was led by their captain, Kayla Eng. Eng pitched a dominating game in the championship, striking out 14 batters in 6 innings. She also had a hit and RBI at the plate.
Elsie McCoubrey led the team with two hits in the championship game. Chelsea Sordillo collected a big triple and Alex Marino had a double and scored a run. Bella Pandy, Hannah Hsu, Kayla Eng, and Ellisyn Tse all had hits against a tough Hunterdon Pride pitcher who had given up only 2 runs in the previous 3 games.

The contributions of Mila Ventrice, Savannah Murphy, Mary Weibel, Ruolin Yuan, and Emily Bliss were essential to the team's success. These players collected multiple hits throughout the tournament, helping to get the team to the championship game.
