Santa Claus is Coming to Town — Via Fire Engine

Volunteer firefighters help Santa make special deliveries.

Santa Claus, along with local firefighters, will be making special deliveries of holiday gifts via fire engine.

The annual project is part of the ongoing fundraising efforts of the volunteer-staffed Basking Ridge Fire Company No. 1 and the Liberty Corner Fire Company.

For a $50 per family donation, the Basking Ridge Fire Company or the Liberty Corner Fire

Company will bring Santa Claus to local homes to deliver a holiday gift (supplied by the home's resident) to children. This year, Santa will be delivering on Saturday, Dec. 17.

Residents are asked to deliver a pre-wrapped gift for each participating child in the family along with a $50 donation to your respective fire company, which is identified on the Annual Fund Drive solicitation you receive in the mail each year.

Those protected by the Basking Ridge Fire Company No. 1 should deliver gifts to the station at 30 Washington Ave. on Monday, Dec. 5 or Monday, Dec. 12 from 7-9 p.m.

Those protected by the Liberty Corner Fire Company should deliver gifts to the station at 95 Church S. on Sunday, Dec. 11 from 10 a.m.-noon or Tuesday, Dec. 13 from 7-9 p.m.

Then on Saturday, Dec 17, Santa Claus will arrive at your home on a fire engine to deliver your gifts.
