BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Meet Scarlett! She has been chosen as Basking Ridge Patch's Pet Of The Week.

"Hi! My name is Scarlett. I am originally from a shelter in Oklahoma! My mommy rescued me in the nick of time from a photo she saw on their website. She personally paid to have me transported all the way to my new home in Manchester Township.

In 2017 my family moved to Basking Ridge and now I have a great big yard to run and prance and chase squirrels - but I haven't caught one yet.

My hobbies: Sneaking into mommy and daddy's bed [when they aren't home of course!] Chasing, hunting, and shredding any available tennis balls I can find. Long afternoon naps in any patch of warm sunlight, long belly rubs or back rubs or ear rubs or hugs and kisses from mommy, daddy, my baby brother, or my older sister and two older brothers! [all human - I prefer being an only [canine] child.

So glad to be a country bumpkin in the Ridge! [sand & me didn't mix down at the shore]"
