Soccer Field To Be Named After Ridge Grad, Olympic Gold Medalist

Bernards Township will be naming a soccer field in honor of Ridge High School graduate and Olympic gold medalist Tobin Heath.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Bernards Township will be naming a soccer field at Pleasant Valley Park in honor of Ridge High School graduate and Olympic gold medalist Tobin Heath.

Heath is a two-time Olympic gold medalist and FIFA Women's World Cup silver medalist and gold medalist who plays for the United States women's national soccer team, according to Wikipedia.

The dedication ceremony will take place at Pleasant Valley Park on Friday, Sept. 23 at 5 p.m. as they name Soccer Field #2 in honor of Heath.

Tickets will also be on sale to see Heath play on Sept. 25 with her team, the Portland Thorns FC, as they take on Sky Blue FC at 7 p.m.
