Somerset County Government: Office On Aging & Disability Services Announce Weather-Related Cancellations

Meals on Wheels deliveries will be canceled on Thursday, Dec. 17.

SOMERVILLE, NJ – Due to the impending winter storm, the Somerset County Office on Aging and Disability Services’ Meals on Wheels deliveries will be canceled on Thursday, Dec. 17. Meals on Wheels clients are encouraged to use the frozen meals that were delivered earlier this week.

Participants of the Grab and Go program are also encouraged to use the shelf-stable meals that were distributed on Tuesday, Dec. 15 because the program will not be available on Thursday, Dec. 17.

The county-operated senior centers’ Zoom programs will still be available according to the program schedule.

The Office on Aging & Disability Services located at 27 Warren Street, in Somerville will not be providing curbside assistance on Thursday, Dec. 17. Clients and caregivers who need assistance should call 908-704–6346 or toll-free 1–888–747–1122 and leave a brief message with a name, address and phone number. Staff will be available to return calls as soon as possible.
