Spring Break Fun Offered For Basking Ridge Students

Bernards Township Parks and Recreation is offering a number of fun activities for students and children during Spring Break

Basking Ridge, NJ -- With Bernards Township schools closed this week for Spring Break, the Parks and Recreation Department is offering some fun activities to keep the kids busy.

Wednesday, April 13 - Chalk Drawing and Window Painting at Dunham Park, Liberty Corner Road (heading towards Far Hills, park entrance is on left) 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Chalk (3rd grade and under) and Paint (4th grade and up) will be provided for drawings.

Thursday, April 14 - Scooter Races at Dunham Park (use the park entrance on Somerville Rd, entrance is on right) 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Kids can race family and friends through a series of obstacles. Scooters will be provided.

Saturday, April 16 - Fishing Derby at Southard Park, North Maple Avenue (heading north, past the Library, park comes up on the right-hand side) 9 to 10:30 a.m. The park's pond will once again be stocked with trout.Prizes will be awarded for the largest fish in various categories. Bring pole and bait. No license is required. Rain or Shine.

Activities are open to children 3 years and older. Registration is not required; arrive at specified dates and times listed above.
