Summer Junior Workshops at Lord Stirling Stable

Registration begins Saturday, march 17, 2018

Somerset County Park Commission Lord Stirling Stable has announced the dates for the Junior Summer Workshops, which are themed five-day programs focusing on riding and horse care. The Stable is located at 256 South Maple Avenue in Basking Ridge, New Jersey.

Junior riders may enroll in Summer Workshops beginning Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 8:00 A.M.

The hands-on, themed weekly workshops will begin on Monday, June 25, with the last workshop beginning on Monday, August 20, 2018. Programs will run from 8:30 A.M. to 1:30 P.M. Monday through Friday on most weeks. Topics include trail, advanced grooming, jumping and gymnastics, etc. Fee is $300 for Somerset County residents and $450 if out of county.

Detailed information about specific requirements, content information, and rates is available at the Stable office, 908-722-1200, ext. 5522 and on the Park Commission website, www.somersetcountyparks.org.

Registration will be available up to the opening day of the Workshops as space permits. Fee for weekly sessions is $300 for Somerset County residents and $450 for non-residents for either Workshop. A discounted rate for a 2nd family member is $250 for residents and $387.50 for non-residents.
