Try Out For The Girl's Travel Softball Team

Teams to be formed: (MUST ATTEND Mandatory Tryouts ($20) on February 21st to be considered for any of the Programs)

• Travel Teams to be formed (breakouts based on date of birth) – competitive program
  • 8U (born in 2006 or 2007)
  • 10U (born in 2004 or 2005)
  • 12U (born in 2002 or 2003)
  • 14U (born in 2000 or 2001)
  • “Futures” division teams – teams based on grade (2nd/3rd; 4th/5th; 6th, 7th, & 8th)*

* Players not making a travel team will be placed in our “Futures” division, which is a developmental Travel program/team. However, a team will only be formed only if there are enough players to form a team. Players in this program will be developed for Future Travel teams. Note: Spring only participation. Will form teams in the summer, if enough interest from players.

League Play:

• Travel Teams (8U – 14U teams - (only if enough players at “key” positions):
  • Spring Games (8U – 14U) – 10 regular season games plus playoffs plus 1 – 2 tournaments (weekend only). March (last weekend) – June 15
  • Spring Practices – 2 to 3x’s a week; starts in the first week of March
  • Summer games and practices start on June 15; 10 games plus 1 – 2 tournaments
  • Both will play in competitive Travel leagues

• Futures teams (only if enough players to form a team):
  • Games – 14 game regular season plus playoffs. (starts 3rd week of April)
  • Practices – 1x per week once games starts (Note: 2 – 3 practices before games starts); starts first week of April; Skills sessions will start in Mid-March
  • Set days for games and practices
  • Teams will play in a local town league consisting of teams from Long Hill, Warren, Watchung, and Greenbrook

Cost to Play:

• All participants – Spring and/or Summer (Mandatory Tryouts ($20) on February 21st)
  • Travel Teams: $275 per season or $500 for both seasons
  • “Futures” developmental program - $275 (spring only) - Players not making one of the travel teams will be eligible to participate in this program. Summer registration based on performance in the Spring
  • Futures teams will receive more focused instruction on skills development in addition to league play and team practices.
  • Note: Uniforms are a separate purchase of $75 for either program
