Watch As Basking Ridge's Christmas Tree Is Erected

A video by a Basking Ridge local captures the day as the Christmas tree is hoisted up in the center of town.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Christmas is in the air in Basking Ridge as the town has put up their annual Christmas tree.

The tree was brought in on Saturday morning and got lowered down in front of the Basking Ridge Presbyterian Church.

"The huge 600 year old Oak tree just looked on," said Basking Ridge resident Jyoti Pai Dhungat. "It felt as if the Christmas Tree is telling the Oak tree, 'I am feeling so proud to see you there stand in front of me. As if guiding me in your own sweet ways. You may be old and weak but I am here to share my strength with you. We have seen so many Christmas together and we still will. Give me your willpower and I will give you my strength, Let's make this Christmas stand out from the rest. Happy Holidays.' "
