• Beach Haven and Bay Head Face Sand Cliffs After Weekend Nor'easter (thesunpapers.com) — Bay Head's beaches have been carved into five-foot sand cliffs at all 11 access points after last weekend's nor'easter, leaving the borough more exposed to the next coastal storm. Local and state officials are surveying erosion up and down the Shore, while Bay Head leaders worry that badly weakened dunes may not recover before another round of rough weather arrives. 
• Dorothy Ann Harris (starnewsgroup.com) — Bay Head is mourning Dorothy Ann "Ann" Harris, a longtime resident, entrepreneur, and community volunteer whose life spanned Wall Street, local real estate, and beloved institutions like the Bay Head Cheese Shop, Garden Club, and Yacht Club. Friends and neighbors can honor her at a memorial service at All Saints Episcopal Church on Lake Avenue in Bay Head on October 9 at 10:30 a.m.
