City officials say they’ve increased inspections to daily checks, are releasing trapped birds, and estimate only a few remain while asking the public not to feed them.
   

• Man arrested in motor vehicle theft in North Haven (newportdispatch.com) — A New Jersey man wanted in connection with an April vehicle theft at a North Haven, Connecticut gas station was recently taken into custody with help from the Bayonne Police Department. North Haven detectives traveled to New Jersey on September 1 to extradite the suspect, who now faces multiple larceny and conspiracy charges while a second suspect awaits extradition.
