(theatlantic.com) — A new biography of photographer Peter Hujar and artist Paul Thek briefly notes Hujar spending time in Bayonne in 1986, connecting the city to his life story. Most of the piece explores their difficult childhoods, unconventional careers, and how their once-overlooked, often queer-centered art is now gaining major museum and critical attention decades after their deaths.
