The annual AAUW Somerset Hills Book Sale, now in its 76th year, is a vital fundraising event and a valued service to the local community. It offers a wonderful way to recycle used books and connect with fellow book enthusiasts. Net proceeds from the sale support AAUW scholarships, local libraries and other charitable initiatives.Student and adult volunteers are always needed to help sort the thousands of books that are donated.
The sale is known for its meticulous sorting as well as for the variety, quality and affordability of the books. Shoppers come from states all over the east coast and beyond, to sort through the organized tables of used books, DVD and CDs , as well as records. All are welcome!
Book donations are accepted beginning Monday July 27th at the Bernardsville Middle School through Monday August 3.
The sale begins on Thursday August 6 at 12:00 PM-8:00 PM, Friday August 7, 12 PM-8:00 PM, and runs through Saturday August 8, 9:00AM -3PM.
Prices range from $.50 - $2.00 in the main room. The CHOICE ROOM books, rare and collectible, are priced according to their value.
Admission is free. Bring your own bag. We offer an early purchase time to area teachers so call for access information.
