• Lightning Strike Causes a Fire at Montgomery Retirement Community, All Residents Evacuated, Authorities Say (themontynews.org) — A lightning strike sparked a smoky fire Tuesday evening at the Meadows at Montgomery retirement community on Scarborough Road in Belle Mead, forcing evacuation of all 96 units but causing no injuries. Fire crews from Montgomery, Rocky Hill, and Hillsborough contained the damage, though three apartments are now uninhabitable and officials are arranging temporary housing for displaced residents.
