12 Cars Illegally Entered, ‘Rummaged Through’ In Nutley: Police
At least a dozen, unlocked vehicles were illegally entered over a three-day period in Nutley, authorities say.
NUTLEY, NJ — At least a dozen cars were illegally entered and “rummaged through” over a three-day period in Nutley this week, authorities say.
According to the Nutley Police Department, nine thefts from vehicles were reported on Wednesday during the overnight hours in the area of Hastings Avenue, Denver Street, Kierstead Avenue and Wilson Street.
Someone rummaged through all of the vehicles, which were left unlocked, police said.

The stolen items included a work laptop and case, which were reported missing from one victim’s car, authorities said.
Nutley police have obtained multiple surveillance videos taken at the scene, authorities said.

MILTION AND HOPE
Another series of vehicle-related crimes were reported on Friday, this time at Milton Avenue and Hope Street, Nutley police said.
According to the NPD:
“Response was made to the area for a party seen on Ring doorbell surveillance attempting to access the victim’s vehicle while parked in the driveway. Access was not gained, but other vehicles in the area were accessed. Three of the vehicles on Milton and Hope were entered and rummaged through. One of the vehicles from Milton had a pair of $100 sunglasses missing from the interior.”
All the entered vehicles were unlocked, police said.
