21 Needles, Heroin Found During Nutley Traffic Stop: Belleville Man Arrested
Nutley police pulled the 34-year-old man over on Crestwood Avenue.

Nutley, NJ – Nutley police arrested a Belleville man last week after finding heroin and a first-aid kit stuffed with 21 hypodermic needles in his possession during a traffic stop.
According to the Nutley Police Department, an officer stopped the man while he was driving on Crestwood Avenue on Feb. 18.
The 34-year-old had an outstanding warrant out of Haledon, police stated.

During a subsequent search, officers found glassine envelopes containing heroin in his possession, authorities stated.
Police also found a clear, plastic first aid kit that contained 21 hypodermic needles, a spoon wrapped in aluminum foil and a large amount of empty glassine envelopes.

He was transported to police headquarters and charged with possession of paraphernalia, possession of hypodermic needles and possession of a controlled dangerous substance, and issued a motor vehicle summons for driving while suspended.
