Belleville Car Owner Finds Vehicle On Pile Of Bricks, 4 Tires Stolen: Police
Another car has been stripped of its tires and rims and left teetering on a pile of bricks in Essex County, authorities say.

BELLEVILLE, NJ — Another car has been stripped of its tires and rims and left teetering on a pile of bricks in Essex County, authorities say.
According to the Belleville Police Department, a Hornblower Avenue resident reported on Sept. 27 that he parked his 2011 Subaru Impreza in front of his house around 5:30 p.m. the previous day. When he woke up and returned to his car, he saw that his car was raised off the ground on jack stands and bricks and its four tires and rims were missing.
Police said the estimated value of the rims and tires was $1,400. An investigation is ongoing.

In the spring, a series of similar thefts was reported in multiple nearby towns including Newark, Irvington, Harrison and Elizabeth.
