Belleville Man Leads Nutley Cops On Car Chase In Mustang: Police

Nutley police arrested a Belleville man after he allegedly led officers on a car chase in his Mustang, authorities said.

NUTLEY, NJ — Nutley police arrested a Belleville man last week after he allegedly led officers on a car chase in his Mustang, rammed a police car and assaulted an officer, authorities said.

According to the Nutley Police Department, the chase took place when officers attempted to stop a Mustang on Washington Avenue on March 21. Instead of pulling over, the driver – later identified as Huy T. Bui, 43, of Belleville – sped up.

Bui then allegedly rammed the front right side of one of the pursuing police cars, pushing the vehicles into the northbound traffic lane, authorities said.
