BELLEVILLE, NJ — The Belleville Police Department has become the latest Essex County agency to join the Neighbors by Ring app.

On Tuesday, the BPD announced it joined the social networking app, which allows users to share footage from Ring doorbell cameras, an Amazon-owned product.

The partnership with Neighbors lets Belleville police view, post and respond to crime and safety-related information posted on the app. The BPD can also submit video requests to local residents to help with active investigations.
