“After much conversation with my family, friends, loved ones, pastor and current First Ward Councilwoman and dear friend Marie Strumolo Burke, I have decided to run for Council in Belleville's First Ward because I believe in Belleville.
“I am proud to call Belleville my home. My fiancé Richard and I chose Belleville as the place in which we plan to start our life together and raise a family.
“I want to ensure that the First Ward is a place that will be safe and secure for all families to live. As a councilwoman, I will work with our Mayor and Council to continue the progress made in the past few years and to continue to move Belleville in the right direction.
“As a current trustee of the Belleville Board of Education, serving the children of our school district has been the privilege of a lifetime; and as a councilwoman I pledge to continue to advocate for the families and children of Belleville's First Ward just as I have done as a trustee.
“From strengthening public safety, to expanding recreation, and standing up against traffic congestion; I want to work with the Council to make Belleville the best place in New Jersey to raise a family and own a business.
“As a member of the Council, I will always make our residents quality of life, keep the safety of our children a priority. I look forward to speaking with more Belleville families as I begin this journey to represent Silver Lake and the First Ward.
“Thank you again to Councilwoman Strumolo Burke for your wholehearted support and encouragement in my starting this endeavor.
“I am asking for your vote to continue the progress that Councilwoman Strumolo Burke and our Mayor and Council have made.
“I believe in Belleville and with your continued support, together we can move Belleville forward.”
