We will remember, We will honor, We will pray.

Remembering 9/11

On September 11, 2011 all across America and in other parts of the world people gathered to remember, to honor and to pray. 10 years have past and while it may be true that “Time heals all wounds” the fact is that in many cases scars remain. Scars that remind us that new skin/emotions have actually replaced the one(s) we were so accustom to. Perhaps, the ones we took for granted at times.

For many of us the images of that horrible day may have faded, but will never be erased. The pain of losing loved ones may have subsided, but will never totally disappear. As long as we are alive we will remember, we will honor and we will pray. We will remember the Twin Towers as they stood in the shadows of every sunrise and gleamed at every sunset. We will remember those whose lives were taken so unexpectedly.  We will honor those who gave their lives willingly and those who still suffer as a result of their rescue efforts. We will pray comfort, healing and hope for everyone who was affected by this tragedy which is, in my opinion, all America and its friends. “America, America, God shed his grace on thee…”
