Catalytic Converter Stolen From Nutley Truck: Police
The victim told officers that they started up their truck and heard a loud bang, Nutley police say.

NUTLEY, NJ — A Nutley resident reported that a thief stole the catalytic converter from their truck last month while it was parked overnight on Walnut Street, police say.
According to the Nutley Police Department, officers responded to a report of a theft from a vehicle on Walnut Street on Oct. 26. The victim told officers that they started up their truck and heard a loud bang.
The victim immediately turned off the engine and checked under the hood, finding that someone had removed the catalytic converter, police said.

There were no signs of tampering with the vehicle, police said. The Nutley Detective Bureau was notified of the incident.
