‘Criminal Mischief’ To Church Property In Nutley: Police

A Nutley church reported damage to a fence and a bench, police said.

NUTLEY, NJ — A Nutley church recently reported “criminal mischief” damage to a fence and a bench, police said.

According to the Nutley Police Department, a church on Brookline Avenue reported last week that two sections of fence were damaged and multiple posts were removed from their joints.

It appeared that a vehicle struck the fence, police said.

In addition, two legs of a bench were ripped from the ground; it’s not known when the bench was last seen intact, authorities said.

The damage is estimated at possibly exceeding $500 to repair, police said.
