• Belleville Schools Will Let Public Use New Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (patch.com) — Belleville residents can now charge their electric vehicles at 20 new stations located at multiple public schools, including the middle and high schools, during non-school hours for a per-session and per-kWh fee. Funded through state and utility programs, the project expands sustainable infrastructure while keeping costs off local taxpayers and builds on other green initiatives already underway in Belleville's schools.
   

• When Will Essex County Pick Up Leaves? See the 2026 Schedule. (montclairlocal.news) — Belleville residents on county roads can expect fall leaf pickups from Essex County during the weeks of Nov. 9-13 and Dec. 7-11, with leaves allowed out no more than seven days before each date. You can either bag leaves in biodegradable bags or sweep them into curbside piles, keeping them at least 10 feet from storm drains. Questions can go to the county public works department.
   

• Belleville Has Them. Montclair Is Next: Parking Ticket Cameras Expand in N.J. (montclairlocal.news) — Parking ticket cameras are already enforcing no-parking zones at busy Belleville intersections, issuing hundreds of tickets while police say they improve safety near crosswalks and schools. Local business owners and drivers are adjusting to the technology, as officials weigh expanding it in Belleville and other New Jersey towns amid ongoing concerns about privacy and digital surveillance.
