Don’t Panic If You See Nutley Teens With Squirt Guns, Cops Say: Here’s Why
Nutley residents may see some teens lurking around town with water guns. Here's why it's not something to panic about, authorities say.
NUTLEY, NJ — Don’t panic if you see some teens lurking around Nutley with squirt guns on Monday – it’s just the annual “senior assassin” water gun game, authorities say.
The Township of Nutley shared the following message on social media about the annual rite of passage for local high school kids:
“The Nutley police want to advise residents that members of the Nutley High School Senior Class will be playing ‘Senior Assassin’ today. This is a game where the students bring water guns and shoot the water at each other. Once ‘hit’ they are eliminated and this continues until the last student who is not hit wins the game. School officials have shared information with the police and there will be increased vigilance in the area of the high school.”
