14th Annual UJA Benefit Concert

Event Description:

A celebration of community and philanthropic spirit featuring a special program by the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra (NJSO) with Lucas Richman, guest conductor, and Brittany Sklar, violinist, to benefit the United Jewish Appeal of MetroWest NJ and the MetroWest Jewish Camp Enterprise.   

Lucas Richman, music director and conductor of the Bangor Symphony Orchestra, is known for his command of the core repertoire, coupled with his finesse in presenting new and contemporary works.

Brittany Sklar, a native of Garfield, N.J., plays “with articulate purity and a tone that could glint like the sun on water.” She joins the NJSO in a Slavic-tinged program of rhapsodies and dances by Beethoven, Dvořák, and Wieniawski, concluding with Tchaikovsky’s glorious 1812 Overture.

The event will honor Elisa Spungen Bildner and Rob Bildner, nationally recognized leaders in both the Jewish and general philanthropic worlds and co-founders of the Foundation for Jewish Camping.
