Clara Maass Medical Center will host its annual Cancer Survivors Day on Saturday, June 4, 2011, from 12 to 3 p.m. in the rear parking area (Kidde Hall Lot) of the Medical Center, located at 1 Clara Maass Drive, Belleville, NJ.
According to the National Cancer Survivors Day Foundation, National Cancer Survivors Day® is an annual, worldwide Celebration of Life that is held in hundreds of communities throughout the United States, Canada, and other participating countries. Participants unite in a symbolic event to show the world that life after a cancer diagnosis can be meaningful and productive.
More than 200 Clara Maass Medical Center cancer survivors, accompanied by family and friends are expected to be in attendance. The day will feature a boardwalk/summer kick-off theme with plenty of food, games, music and fun.
