Belleville Recreation Department offers seasonal sports programs for children and teens.

Programs Offered: The Belleville Recreation Department oversees eight different seasonal sports for children between the ages of five and fourteen. In addition, the department also offers winter programs for children in kindergarten and preschool. Fall sports include Junior Bucs Tackle football, soccer, touch football, and junior cheerleading, while the winter is reserved for boys and girls basketball and junior wrestling. During the Spring and Summer the department holds baseball and softball programs, as well as Camp Belleville, a six week day camp, in conjunction with Belleville School #9, that provides activities for students in grades K-8.
How to Sign Up: Registration for all programs must be completed at the Belleville Recreation Department. Parents must be present with their children in order to sign an application and must also provide proof of residency and a birth certificate. Registration for Junior Bucs Football, Junior Bucs Cheerleading and Touch football is currently underway. Parents may visit bellrec@comcast.net or call 973-450-3422 for more information.

Director Michael Wieners says, "Our department is a low cost option for kids and parents. We provide organized quality recreation programs for residents. We always love to see the kids participate. We want as many kids to participate as possible."
