Man Accused Of Killing Grocery Store Owner From Belleville
The 46-year-old victim, a Belleville resident, was working at his store in Newark when the shooting happened, authorities said.
ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — Police have arrested a man who allegedly shot and killed a Belleville resident in Newark last week, authorities announced Friday.
Quadree Richardson, 24, is accused of fatally shooting Rabel Ramos-Gomez, 46, of Belleville, on the 200-block of South 10th Street in Newark, according to a joint statement from the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office and the Newark Department of Public Safety.
Ramos-Gomez was working at his corner grocery store at the time of the shooting, authorities said.

Richardson was arrested in Kearny. He has been charged with first-degree murder and two weapon offenses, prosecutors said.

The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide/Major Crimes Task Force, which includes detectives from the Newark Police Department, continues to investigate the shooting.
