Missing Newark Woman Found In Nutley, Returned To Family: Police

ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — Nutley police recently helped to track down an elderly woman who was reported missing in Newark, authorities said.

According to the Nutley Police Department, officers responded to the bus terminal on Washington Avenue on Wednesday after getting a report about an elderly woman in need of assistance.

When they arrived at the bus stop, the officers found a “confused” 79-year-old woman who didn’t know where she lived. The officers soon learned that the woman was reported missing in Newark, authorities said.

Newark police officers responded to Nutley and took custody of the woman, then transported her back to her family in Newark, authorities said.
